Day 1 Arizona Vacation: Arrival

On Saturday we arrived in Phoenix at 12:15 local time.

The flight was good, minus the fact I had to sit in the middle seat, but at least I got to sit next to my mom.

Snapchat photo I took after arriving 😂

After arriving we made the long trek from the gate to get our luggage. Then we picked up our rental car. This airport was different for us because we had to go outside and take a shuttle to a completely different building to rent our car

Then we headed our hotel, which I’ll write about when I get home….I don’t want stalkers 😉

After we checked in we headed to CiCi’s pizza for dinner. If you don’t know what CiCi’s pizza is, it’s basically like a pizza buffet that’s only $6.95 per person. They have a salad bar, pasta, garlic cheese bread, different types of pizza, soup, dessert, and fountain drinks. Of course, it’s not super fancy, but sometimes you want pizza and different options. Here is my review:

  • Food: 4/5
  • Value: 5/5
  • Atmosphere: 3/5
  • Staff: 5/5
  • Overall: 4.25/5

After dinner we went to the nearby Walmart which I

read had a nail salon that was pretty good. My mom and I both got pedicures mine was only $18.00 and her’s was $21.00 since she got an extra scrub done. The staff were friendly, it was clean, and fairly priced. It was quite a busy salon, so I think we made a good choice. The salon was called Regal Nails.

After that we did a bit of grocery shopping to have breakfast and snack foods.

Finally, we headed back to our hotel, went for a swim, and then went to bed.

I didn’t take very many pictures this day, but I still thought you’d like to know where we went and what I thought.

Thanks for reading my blog!

-Ariel.
