This past summer my family and I went out near Cochrane, Alberta to visit the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. It was such an interesting and unique experience, so I thought I would share it with everyone!
We went on July 25, 2016. We paid to have the “Interactive Tour”. This tour allowed us to get up close to the Wolfdogs and even feed treats to some of the more friendly ones. Of course, they are part wolf and differ from a normal dog, which is taught throughout the tour. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend attending this tour to anyone who is not afraid of dogs. You can find out more information on their website: http://yamnuskawolfdogsanctuary.com. (p.s. you must reserve a spot beforehand for the interactive tour).
Besides the interactive tour they also allow you to have a look around the sanctuary and they even have goats, which anyone who knows me knows I love goats!
I loved their cause and the opportunity to get up close to Wolfdogs. I hope to go again soon!
