Preparing for my California Adventure

As I sit down to write this post it is -17˚ Celsius in Calgary, but feels like -25˚ Celcius, according to The Weather Network. I don’t tend to normally write about the weather, but as you guessed from the title and location of my blog I will be soon departing to Sunny California, which according to The Weather Network is 17˚ Celsius. Now, to someone in California that may seem cold, but for me a person who has felt like a Popsicle for the past month, that is t-shirt and shorts weather!

I depart for my trip on Friday night after school and arrive in Los Angeles to spend a few days exploring. On Monday I leave Los Angeles and travel to Anaheim to go hang out with Mickey Mouse until Friday.

I am very lucky to get to spend my reading week in California. I was lucky enough to receive this trip from my lovely Granny and Grandpa for my Christmas and Birthday present.

Throughout the week (once I arrive in California) I will be posting about all of my adventures. I will be sure to mention different highlights I visit. This way if you ever decide to visit you will already have an idea as to where you would like to visit and what to do.

I still have lots to do before I leave which include:

  • Packing
  • Cleaning my room
  • Making sure someone feeds my fish Henry and my cat Sweetie (no mom you may not feed Henry to Sweetie)
  • Finish any homework that must be completed by Friday

I hope you will follow along on my California journey and maybe mine will inspire you to create a journey of your own. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions you may have on any of my posts and I will try to respond to them all.

**This is a post from my old blog on TravelPod, but I have imported the content to my new blog!**
